I would definitely stay at Linda’s Crab House again. We found it a wonderfully unique place located right on the marsh off the Sapelo River and Sapelo Sound which gave us many opportunities to fish, catch crab right off the dock as well as exploring the marsh with the kayaks that Linda provides for use. We had fun catching blue crab, shrimp, pogie (Atlantic Menhaden), mullet and a flounder off the dock on the first two evenings. The crab house had plenty of room for four adults and one eleven year old child for a multiple day weekend adventure. Located near Townsend, GA, the location gives guests easy access to the Southern Coastal Highway (Hwy 17) and Interstate 95 to other popular destinations such as Savannah, Brunswick, St Simon’s and Jekyll Islands. The house is part of a compound with a hobby farm with all sorts of cute animals located on the premise. A miniature donkey was our favorite as she had a very nice demeanor and often sought affection when we called her. “Don-Key” in our best Shriek imitation. My son most definitely enjoyed spending time with the animals, and swinging on a web-rider swing hanging on a nearby oak tree. We had great communication through the AirBnB app with Linda, and her staff was available most mornings and afternoon as they came by to feed the animals. We always got an answer within a few minutes of our requests. Check in was very easy with the instructions Linda provided through the app. In the evening, there was a nice fire pit in front of the house (Linda has firewood available) which we leisured by in the evening and talked about our adventures from the day.
The crab house is a dream! Right on the water with beautiful views and smells of coastal Georgia. The house has a full kitchen and everything you need for any length of stay. Accommodations were clean and just as described in the listing. Was so fun to see the chickens, llamas, goats, etc. Linda was very quick to respond to messages and extremely easy to communicate with. My husband and I loved this place. Would recommend to anyone! Hope to be back!
Wow what an amazing experience! Linda’s place was absolutely picturesque and peaceful. We loved being around all the animals and the kids found the 2 tree swings loads of fun! Thanks for having a pack n play and high chair, and lots of toys for our family to use. We didn’t drink it but there was a wonderful assortment of coffee to choose from as well. Oh! And the kids life vests were a welcome sight as they wanted to go look at the water at the end of the dock. For future guests- the crab house is the white one in the back! There is a sign outside the house. We got confused because we forgot what the listing photo looked like! Would definitely stay here again.
This really is a great place to get away and just relax. The fishing was awesome. Our children loved the farm animals. You just can’t be sitting on the porch watching the sunrise right next to the water. We will be back.
Beautiful and happy peaceful place. The nature around it makes you want to stay longer.
We enjoyed our weekend at the Crabhouse. It was very clean and relaxing. We spent alot of time crabbing and fishing. My brother in law enjoyed adventuring on the kayak. Linda baked delicious muffins and shared them with us. She responded quickly to our questions. We’re already planning to go back.
The crab house is amazing! Right on the water and also next to animals. My son really liked seeing the chickens. We saw crabs walking next to the porch. My wife saw a dolphin. the sunrise and sunset was amazing, watching the tide come in and out. it's beautiful! The host was friendly and accommodating . Being from Florida this place really reminded us of home.We will definitely return!
My girls and I needed a little getaway and Linda’s place was perfect. Lovely home on the water with beautiful views. The best part for us was all the sweet farm animals. My girls loved playing in the yard with the chickens all around them. Plus petting the goats and the donkey. We definitely want to come back.

The Crab house has a great lookout over the marsh and Linda was very helpful. It's wonderful that we can take our dogs with us and we love this area.
